The most expensive mistake in design is solving the wrong problem confidently. I spend disproportionate time understanding actual user behaviour-through interviews, usage data, and NPS patterns-before a single wireframe is drawn.
Information architecture and navigation hierarchy are not UX details-they determine whether users succeed or quietly abandon. Getting the structure right is more valuable than getting the visuals perfect.
